Agra / HİNDİSTAN

Babür Türk Devlet’nin 5. Hükümadarı Şah Cihan tarafından 1632’de yapımına başlanan bina 1666’da tamamlanmıştır. Mimarı, Mimar Sinan’ın talebelerinden İsmail Efendi’dir. Anıtın dört yanına Hattat İsmail Efendi tarafından Yasin Suresi’nin tamamı yazılmıştır. Adını bu şaheserin yapıldığı Mümtaz Banu Hatun, eşi Şah Cihan’a 14 çocuk dünyaya getirmiş ve sultanın katıldığı tüm savaşlarda ona eşlik etmiştir.14. çocuğunun doğumu sırasında 38 yaşında vefat etmiştir. Şah Cihan eşinin ölümünden sonra çok müteessir olmuş ve onun hatırasını yaşatmak için bu anıt eseri inşa ettirmiştir.

 

TAJ MAHAL

The construction of the building, which was started in 1632 by Shah Jahan, the 5th Ruler of the Mughal Empire, was completed in 1666. Its architect is İsmail Efendi, one of the students of Mimar Sinan. Calligrapher İsmail Efendi inscribed the entire Surah Yasin on all four sides of the monument. The masterpiece was named after Mümtaz Banu Hatun, who gave birth to 14 children to her husband Shah Jahan and accompanied him in all the wars he participated in. She passed away at the age of 38 during the birth of her 14th child. Shah Jahan was deeply saddened by the death of his wife and had this monument built to perpetuate her memory.

Üsküp’teki Türk Çarşısı’nın hemen üst kısmında yer alan cami, 1492’de Yavuz Sultan Selim’in veziri olan Mustafa Paşa tarafından yaptırılmıştır. Paşanın adı, cami girişindeki kitabede de bulunmaktadır. Tecrübeli bir devlet adamı olan Mustafa Paşa, II. Beyazıt ve oğlu Yavuz Sultan Selim dönemlerinde vezirlik yapmıştır.

 

MUSTAFA PASHA MOSQUE

Skopje / MACEDONIA

Located just above the Turkish Bazaar in Skopje, the mosque was constructed in 1492 by Mustafa Pasha, the vizier of Yavuz Sultan Selim. The name of the pasha is inscribed at the entrance of the mosque. Mustafa Pasha, an accomplished statesman, served as a vizier during the reigns of Beyazıt II and his son Yavuz Sultan Selim.

Sultan I. Murat Türbesi veya Meşhed-i Hüdavendigar, Kosova’nın Priştine-Mitroviça yolu üzerinde Priştine’ye 6 km mesafede yer almaktadır. Osmanlı Devleti padişahlarından Sultan I. Murad Han’ın I. Kosova Savaşı’nda şehit olması sonrasında iç organlarının gömüldüğü yerdir.

 

SULTAN MURAT TOMB

The Tomb of Sultan Murat I, also known as Mashhad-i Hüdavendigar, is situated on the Pristina-Mitrovica road in Kosovo, approximately 6 km from Pristina. This mausoleum is the resting place of the internal organs of Sultan Murad Khan, one of the sultans of the Ottoman Empire, after he was martyred in the First Kosovo War.

Babür Türk Devleti’nin 2. Hükümdarı olan Hümayun’un vefatının 9. yılında eşi Hacı Begüm Hatun’un talimatıyla 1565’te inşasına başlanmıştır. Yapının mimarı İranlı Mirek Mirza Giyas’tır. Hümayun türbesinin çevresi 55 metre uzunluğunda kırmızı kumtaşından yapılma duvarlar ile çevrilidir. Türbe içinde 1508- 1556 yılları arasında yaşamış olan Babür Türk Devleti’nin 2. Hükümdarı Hümayun’un mezarı yer alır. Kompleks içerisinde türbe haricinde daha birçok yapı yer almaktadır.

 

HUMAYUN TOMB

The construction of the tomb was initiated in 1565 by the order of Haji Begum, the wife of Humayun, the 2nd Ruler of the Mughal Empire, nine years after his death. The architect of the building is Mirak Mirza Ghiyas, an Iranian. Humayun's tomb is encompassed by walls made of red sandstone, measuring 55 meters in length. The tomb of Humayun, who reigned from 1508 to 1556, is located within the complex, which also includes various other buildings.

5. ALACA CAMİ

ALACA CAMİ

Kalkandelen/MAKEDONYA

Makedonya’nın Kalkandelen Şehri’nde bulunan Osmanlı-Türk eserlerindendir. Mimarı İshak Bey’dir. 1438 yılında yapılmış, 1833 yılında Abdurrahman Paşa tarafından onartılmıştır. 1991 yılında caminin etrafına Osmanlı tarzında duvar yaptırılmış, 2010 yılında ise Alaca Cami için yeni bir bakım çalışması yapılmıştır. Adını, mimari yapısındaki alacalıktan, renkliliğinden almıştır. Dönem camilerinin çoğu bir sultan, bey, paşa veya bir makam sahibi kişinin mali desteğiyle yapılırken; Alaca Cami, Kalkandelenli iki kız kardeşin mali desteğiyle yaptırılmıştır. Duvarlarla çevrelenmiş olan avlusunda, caminin yapımını sağlayan iki kız kardeşin, Hurşide ve Mensure hanımların türbeleri bulunmaktadır.

 

ALACA MOSQUE

Tetovo/Macedonia

It is one of the Ottoman-Turkish structures in the city of Tetovo, Macedonia. Its architect is İshak Bey. It was built in 1438 and underwent repairs by Abdurrahman Pasha in 1833. In 1991, an Ottoman-style wall was constructed around the mosque, and in 2010, a new maintenance work was carried out on the Alaca Mosque. The mosque acquired its name due to the twilight and colorfulness of its architectural structure. While most mosques of the period were financed by a sultan, bey, pasha, or a person of authority, the Alaca Mosque was constructed with the financial support of two sisters from Tetovo. Within its courtyard, enclosed by walls, lie the tombs of the two sisters, Hurşide and Mensure, who aided in the construction of the mosque.

6. ÂŞIK PAŞA TÜRBESİ

Kırşehir / TÜRKİYE

Kırşehir’de Âşık Paşa mahallesinde yer almaktadır. 13. yüzyılda diğer aydınların kitaplarını Farsça ve Arapça yazdığı bir dönemde eserlerini Türkçe kaleme alan ve Türkçe’nin zenginliğini savunan tasavvuf şairi Âşık Paşa bu türbede yatmaktadır. Türbe 1333’de  yeğeni tarafından yaptırılmıştır. Aşık Paşa 1272’de Kırşehir’de doğmuştur. Türbesi Amasya’da bulunan zamanın meşhur mutasavvıfı Baba İlyas’ın torunudur. Babası Muhlis Paşa’dır. Aşık Paşa, Çorum Mecitözü yolu üzerinde türbesi bulunan Elvan Çelebi’nin de babasıdır. En önemli eseri hikmetli sözlerin yer aldığı 2 ciltlik Garibname’dir.

 

AŞIK PASHA TOMB

It is located in the stylish Paşa district of Kırşehir. In the 13th century, at a time when other intellectuals wrote their books in Persian and Arabic, the Sufi poet Aşık Pasha, who wrote his works in Turkish and defended the richness of the Turkish language, rests in this tomb. The tomb was built in 1333 by his nephew. Aşık Pasha was born in 1272 in Kırşehir. He is the grandson of the famous mystic of the time, Baba İlyas, whose tomb is located in Amasya. His father is Muhlis Pasha. Aşık Pasha is also the father of Elvan Çelebi, whose tomb is located on the Çorum Mecitözü road. His most important work is the 2-volume Garibname, which contains wise words.

1531’de Kanuni Sultan Süleyman’ın isteği üzerine Budin’e giderek burada bir tekke kuran Gül Baba, Bektaşi hoşgörüsü ile kısa zamanda halkın sevgisini kazandı. 1541’de Budin savaşında şehit düşen Gül Baba’nın cenaze namazını Şeyhülislam Ebussuud Efendi kıldırmış ve iki yüz bin kişinin iştirak ettiği cenaze namazına Kanuni Sultan Süleyman da katılmıştır. Gül Baba’nın defnedildiği tepeye de “Gültepe” adı verilmiştir.

 

GUL BABA TOMB

Budapest / HUNGARY

Gül Baba, at the request of Suleiman the Magnificent, arrived in Budin in 1531 and established a lodge there. He quickly gained the affection of the people through his Bektashi tolerance. After Gül Baba was martyred in the Budin War in 1541, Şeyhülislam Ebussuud Efendi led the funeral prayer, which was attended by Suleiman the Magnificent and two hundred thousand people. The hill where Gül Baba was laid to rest became known as "Gültepe" (Rose Hill).

8. MUHAMMED EMİN HAN KÜLLİYESİ

MUHAMMED EMİN HAN KÜLLİYESİ

Hive / ÖZBEKİSTAN

Orta Asya’nın en büyük medreselerinden biridir. Devrin hükümdarı Muhammed Emin Han tarafından 1855’te yaptırılmıştır. Kalta Minare, 1855’te Muhammed Emin Han zamanında tüm Hive’yi görecek yükseklikte yapılmak üzere planlanmış ama Han vefat edince 85 metre yükseklikte planlanan minarenin 29 metresi bitirilebilmiştir. Kalta kelimesi “güdük, eksik” gibi anlamlara gelir. Minarenin 14 metre olan taban çapı yukarı doğru daralmaktadır.

 

MUHAMMED EMIN HAN COMPLEX

It is one of the largest madrasahs in Central Asia. It was built in 1855 by the ruler of the time, Muhammad Emin Khan. The Kalta Minaret was planned to be built in 1855 during the reign of Muhammad Emin Khan to provide a view of the entire Khiva. However, when the Khan died, only 29 meters of the minaret were completed out of the planned 85 meters in height. The word "kalta" means "stump, incomplete". The base diameter of the minaret, which is 14 meters, narrows as it goes upwards.

İSMAİL SAMANİ TÜRBESİ

875-999 yılları arasında hüküm süren Samanîler Devleti Hükümdarlarından İsmail Samanî için 9. ve 10. yüzyıllarda yaptırılan türbede, İsmail Samanî’nin babasının kabri de bulunmaktadır. İsmail Samani Türbesi, kubbeli karenin en dikkat çekici örneği olmasının yanı sıra, Kubbetü’s Süleybiye’den sonra bilinen en eski türbedir.

There is also the tomb of İsmail Samanī's father within the tomb. The tomb was built in the 9th and 10th centuries for İsmail Samanī, one of the rulers of the Samanid State who ruled between 875 and 999. Besides being the most striking example of a domed square, the İsmail Samanī Tomb is the second oldest known tomb after Kubbetü's Süleybiye.

10. SULTAN SENCER TÜRBESİ

SULTAN SENCER TÜRBESİ

Merv / TÜRKMENİSTAN

1086’dan 1157’ye kadar 39 sene hüküm süren Sultan Sencer, kendi sağlığında Sarahslı Mimar Muhammed bin Adsız’a “Dar’ul Ahireh” (Ahiret Evi) adıyla bu türbeyi yaptırmıştır. Türbe Moğol istilaları sırasında yağmalanmış ve yakılmıştır. Farklı zamanlarda birçok kez tamir gören Sultan Sencer Türbesi, en son 2004’te Türkiye Cumhuriyeti tarafından restore edilmiştir.

 

SULTAN SENCER TOMB

Sultan Sencer, who ruled for 39 years from 1086 to 1157, had this tomb built by the architect Muhammed bin Adsız from Sarahs under the name "Dar'ul Ahireh" (House of the Hereafter) while he was alive. The shrine was looted and burned during the Mongol invasions. The Sultan Sencer Tomb, which has undergone several repairs at different times, was last restored by the Republic of Turkey in 2004.

Murad döneminde 1444’de yaptırılan Bey Hamamı Yunanistan’da ayakta kalabilmiş nadir Osmanlı eserlerinden biridir. Evliya Çelebi seyahatnamesinde bu hamamın diğerlerinden çok üstün özelliklere sahip olduğunu yazmaktadır. Bugünkü Selanik’in kalbi sayılan en büyük caddesi Egnatia üzerinde bulunan Bey Hamamı “Cennet Hamamı” adıyla da bilinmektedir.

 

MASTER BATH

Thessaloniki / GREECE

The Bey Bath, which was built in 1444 during the reign of Murad II, is one of the rare Ottoman works that has survived in Greece. Evliya Çelebi writes in his travel book that this bath has far superior features compared to others. The Bey Hamam, located on Egnatia, the main street considered to be the heart of today's Thessaloniki, is also known as the "Heavenly Hamam".

Fatih Sultan Mehmet tarafından 1455’te inşasına başlanan ve Kosova’nın en büyük camisi olan Fatih Cami kare planlıdır. En son 2010’da restore edilmiştir. Çevre düzenlemesi Türkiye Cumhuriyeti tarafından TİKA marifetiyle yaptırılmıştır.

The Fatih Mosque, initiated by Fatih Sultan Mehmet in 1455 and recognized as the largest mosque in Kosovo, features a square plan. Its most recent restoration took place in 2010, and the landscaping was carried out by the Republic of Turkey through TIKA (Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency).

Köhne Ürgenç / TÜRKMENİSTAN

1172-1200 yıllarında hüküm süren Harzemşah Sultanı Alaeddin Tekeş tarafından yaptırılmıştır. Harzemşahların başkenti Ürgenç o yıllarda önemli bir bilim ve kültür merkezidir. Sultan Alaeddin ve oğlu Muhammed döneminde şehir gayet mamur hale getirilmiş ve birçok anıt yapı inşa edilmiştir. Ancak 1221’de Moğol istilası nedeniyle şehir tahrip edilmiş ve günümüze ancak bir kaç bina ulaşabilmiştir. Bunlardan biri de Sultan Tekeş Kümbeti’dir. Türkmenistan’ın Daşoğuz vilayeti Köhne Ürgenç mevkiinde bulunmaktadır.

 

SULTAN TEKEŞ DOMB

Old Urgench / TURKMENISTAN

It was built by Alaeddin Tekesh, the Sultan of Khwarazm Shah, who reigned between 1172-1200. Urgench, the capital of the Khwarazm Shahs, was an important scientific and cultural center during those years. Under the rule of Sultan Alaeddin and his son Mohammed, the city flourished, and numerous monuments were constructed. However, due to the Mongol invasion in 1221, the city was destroyed, and only a few buildings survived. One of them is the Sultan Tekesh Mausoleum, located in the Köne Urgench area of the Dashoguz province in Turkmenistan.

Büyük bir havuzun kenarında olduğu için bu isimle anılmaktadır. İlk yapılış tarihine ilişkin kesin bilgi yoktur. 20. yüzyılda kapsamlı bir tadilat geçirerek bugünkü halini almıştır. Normalde bu camide yirmi ahşap sütun bulunmaktadır. Mevcut yirmi sütun, cami önündeki havuz suyuna kırk sütun olarak yansıdığı için bu yapı halk arasında “Kırk Sütunlu Cami” olarak da bilinmektedir. Bâlâ sözü “büyük, yüce” anlamındadır. Özellikle ahşap üzerine kalem işi süslemeleri ve mukarnas sütun başlıkları ile dikkat çeker.

 

BALA POOL MOSQUE

Bukhara / UZBEKISTAN

It is named this because it is located on the edge of a large pool. There is no exact information about its original construction date. It underwent an extensive renovation in the 20th century and took its present form. Normally, there are twenty wooden columns in this mosque. This structure is also known as the "Mosque with Forty Columns" among the people because the twenty existing columns are reflected as forty columns in the pool water in front of the mosque. The word bala means "great, lofty". It attracts attention, especially with its hand-drawn ornaments on wood and muqarnas column headings.

15. HOCA AHMED-İ YESEVİ KÜLLİYESİ

HOCA AHMED-İ YESEVİ KÜLLİYESİ

1093-1166 yılları arasında yaşayan Pir-i Türkistan Hoca Ahmed-i Yesevi, İslam’ın Türk boyları arasında daha anlaşılır hale gelmesinde önemli rol oynamıştır. Türk tasavvuf ekollerinin kurucusudur. Özellikle Nakşilik, Bektaşilik ve Yesevilik üzerinde etkili olmuştur. Hoca Ahmed-i Yesevi Medresesi ve Türbesi’nin ilk hali 1394-1397 yıllarında Timur tarafından yaptırılmıştır. Daha sonra Buhara Hükümdarı Abdullah Han ve 19. Yüzyılda Kokand Hanı tarafından külliyeye ilaveler yapılmıştır.

 

HOCA AHMED-I YESEVI COMPLEX

Yesi-Turkistan / KAZAKHSTAN

Pir-i Turkistan Hodja Ahmed-i Yesevi, who lived between 1093 and 1166, played a significant role in promoting the understanding of Islam among Turkish tribes. He is recognized as the founder of Turkish Sufi schools, particularly influencing Nakshi, Bektashi, and Yesevi orders. The initial construction of the Hoca Ahmed-i Yesevi Madrasa and Tomb was carried out by Timur between 1394 and 1397. Subsequently, further additions were made to the complex by Abdullah Khan, the ruler of Bukhara, and Kokand Khan in the 19th century.

Hoca Ahmed-i Yesevi Külliyesi yakınına Timur’un oğlu Uluğ Bey’in kızı Rabia Begüm Sultan için 15. yüzyılda yaptırılmıştır. Sekizgen prizma biçiminde inşa edilen bina yüksek kasnaklı, sivri kesimli kubbe ile taçlanmıştır. Kasnak ve kubbenin yüksekliği türbenin gövde yüksekliği ile aynıdır. Türbe en son Türkiye Cumhuriyeti tarafından tamir ettirilmiştir.

The tomb was constructed in the 15th century for Rabia Begüm Sultan, the daughter of Uluğ Bey, Timur's son, in close proximity to the Hoca Ahmed-i Yesevi Complex. The structure takes the form of an octagonal prism and is topped with a high, rimmed, pointed-cut dome. The height of the pulley and the dome matches the height of the tomb's main body. The tomb underwent its latest round of repairs under the supervision of the Republic of Turkey.

Abdülhamit Han tarafından 1900-1908 yıllarında Şam ile Medine arasında inşa ettirilen demir yollarının en önemli duraklarından biri Medine Tren garıdır. Hac yolunu kolaylaştırmak için inşa edilen Hicaz Demiryolu o yıllarda çıkan uluslararası sorunlar nedeni ile Medine’den öteye geçememiştir. Hicaz Demiryolu inşaatında 2.666 kâgir köprü ve menfez, 7 demir köprü, 9 tünel, 96 istasyon, 7 gölet, 37 su deposu, 2 hastane ve 3 atölye yapılmıştır.

One of the most important stops of the railway, which was built by Abdulhamid II between Damascus and Medina in 1900-1908, is the Medina Train Station. The Hejaz Railway, which was constructed to facilitate the pilgrimage route, could not extend beyond Medina due to international problems during those years. In the construction of the Hejaz Railway, 2,666 masonry bridges and culverts, 7 iron bridges, 9 tunnels, 96 stations, 7 ponds, 37 water tanks, 2 hospitals, and 3 workshops were built.

DAMASCUS OTTOMAN TRAIN STATION

One of the important stops in the project, which was prepared by Abdülhamid II in 1900-1908 to facilitate the pilgrimage route, is the Damascus Train Station. The main goal of the project was to connect Istanbul to Mecca by rail. However, the railway could not be completed due to the international problems that arose during those years. In the construction of the Hejaz Railway, 2,666 masonry bridges and culverts, 7 iron bridges, 9 tunnels, 96 stations, 7 ponds, 37 water tanks, 2 hospitals, and 3 workshops were built.

19. ÇÂR MİNARE

ÇÂR MİNARE (Dört Minare)

Buhara / ÖZBEKİSTAN

Zengin bir Türkmen olan Halif Niyaz Kul tarafından 1807’de yaptırılan büyük bir medresenin anıt kapısıdır. Zamanla medrese yıkılmış ama kapısı ayakta kalmıştır. Minareye benzeyen dört kulesinden dolayı Farsça dört minare anlamına gelen Çâr Minare olarak anıla gelmiştir.

 

CHOR MINOR (Four Minarets)

Bukhara / UZBEKISTAN

It is the monumental gate of a large madrasa built by Halif Niyaz Kul, a wealthy Turkmen, in 1807. Over time, the madrasa was destroyed, but its gate remained standing. Due to its four towers resembling minarets, it has come to be known as "Char Minaret," which means "four minarets" in Persian.

Türkmen şehri Kerkük’te Irak Türklerinin simgesi olan Kerkük Kalesi bulunmaktadır. Kalenin içindeki Türk tarihi eserlerinden biri de Gök Kümbettir. Gök Kümbet Celayirliler döneminde 1361’de yapılmıştır. 14.yüzyılda Selçuklu hanedanına mensup Buğday Hatun için yaptırılan kümbet iki katlı, sekiz köşelidir. Kemer ve pencere süslemeleri yeşil renk ağırlıklı pişmiş topraktandır. Bu nedenle Türkmenler Gök Kümbet’e Yeşil Kümbet de derler.

In the Turkmen city of Kirkuk, stands Kirkuk Castle, which is a symbol of the Turkish community in Iraq. Within the castle, one of the notable Turkish historical monuments is Gök Kümbet. Gök Kümbet was constructed in 1361 during the Celayir period. The dome, built for Buğday Hatun, a member of the Seljuk dynasty in the 14th century, features two floors and eight corners. The arches and window decorations are predominantly adorned with green terracotta, hence the name "Green Kümbet" given by the Turkmen community.

Timurlular Devleti’nin IV. Sultanı ve aynı zamanda devrin önemli bilim adamlarından biri olan Uluğ Bey tarafından 1420’de yaptırılmıştır. Medresenin inşasında tıpkı bir usta gibi Uluğ Bey de bizzat çalışmıştır. Medresede devrin önemli âlimlerinden Cemşit El Kâşî, Kadızâde Rumî ve Ali Kuşçu görev yapmışlardır. Her yönü ile Türk-İslam sanatının tüm unsurlarını üzerinde barındıran bu nadide eserin taç kapısındaki kitabesinde Peygamber Efendimizin “Âlimin diğer insanlara göre durumu, dolunayın diğer yıldızlar arasında parlayışı gibidir.” sözü yer almaktadır.

 

ULUG BEY MADRASAH

The madrasah was constructed in 1420 during the reign of Sultan Uluğ Bey, a prominent ruler of the Timurid State known for his scholarly pursuits. Uluğ Bey personally participated in the construction of the madrasah, demonstrating his mastery in the field. The madrasah attracted renowned scholars of the time, such as Cemşit El Kâşî, Kadızâde Rumî, and Ali Kuşçu. This precious work embodies the essence of Turkish-Islamic art in all aspects.

The inscription on the crown gate of the madrasah includes the Prophet's words: "The state of knowledge compared to other people is like the shining of the full moon among the other stars." This inscription further emphasizes the importance and significance of knowledge and education in the madrasah.

Göktürklerin dönemine ait yazılı abidelerdir. Kül Tigin, Bilge Kağan ve Tonyukuk adına hazırlanmıştır. Orhun Abideleri Türk dil ve edebiyat tarihi için paha biçilmez şaheserlerdir. Tonyukuk 716, Kül Tigin 732, Bilge Kağan 735 yılında dikilmiştir. Kül Tigin yazıtı Bilge Kağan’ın ağzından yazılmıştır. Anıtlarda döneme ait tarihi bilgilerin yanı sıra gelecek nesiller ve devlet yöneticileri için öğütler yer almaktadır.

 

MONUMENTS OF ORHUN

Orkhon Valley / MONGOLIA

The Orhun Monuments are written artifacts from the Göktürk period, specifically created for Kul Tigin, Bilge Kagan, and Tonyukuk. These monuments hold immense significance in the history of the Turkish language and literature. The erection dates of the Orhun Monuments are as follows: Tonyukuk in 716, Kul Tigin in 732, and Bilge Kagan in 735. The inscription on the Kul Tigin monument was written by Bilge Kagan himself. Alongside historical information about the era, these monuments also provide guidance for future generations and state administrators.

THE DOUBLE MINARET MADRASAH

It is one of the madrasas from the Anatolian Seljuk period. It is a monumental example of the madrasah type, featuring a courtyard, two floors, and four iwans. It was built during the time of Huvand Hatun, the daughter of Alaaddin Keykubat I. For this reason, another name for the building is Hatuniye Madrasa.

Anadolu’nun en eski camilerindendir. Hz. Ömer Döneminde şehrin merkezindeki en büyük mabet olan Martoma Kilisesi’nin bulunduğu alana 639’da inşa edilmiştir. Cami farklı zamanlarda birçok onarım görmüştür. Büyük Selçuklu hükümdarı Melikşah, İnal ve Nisanoğulları, Anadolu Selçuklu hükümdarı Gıyaseddin Keyhüsrev, Artuklular, Akkoyunlu hükümdarı Uzun Hasan ve Osmanlı padişahlarından birçoğuna ait kitabeler caminin muhtelif yerlerinde görülmektedir. Diyarbakır Ulu Camii, İslam âleminin 5. Harem-i Şerifi olarak kabul edilmektedir. Ünlü bilgin El- Cezeri’nin 800 yıl önce yaptığı güneş saati caminin avlusundadır.

 

DIYARBAKIR GREAT MOSQUE

It is one of the oldest mosques in Anatolia. It was built in 639 on the site of the Mar Thoma Church, the largest temple in the center of the city, during the Omar Period. The mosque has undergone many repairs at different times. Inscriptions belonging to the Great Seljuk ruler Melikşah, İnal and Nisanoğulları, the Anatolian Seljuk ruler Gıyaseddin Keyhüsrev, the Artukids, the Akkoyunlu ruler Uzun Hasan, and many Ottoman sultans can be seen in various parts of the mosque. The Diyarbakir Great Mosque is accepted as the 5th Harem-i Şerif of the Islamic world. The sundial made by the famous scholar Al-Jazari 800 years ago is in the courtyard of the mosque.

Divriği Ulu Camii ve Darüşşifası olarak bilinen bu yapı, cami, darüşşifa ve türbeden meydana gelen bir külliyedir. Anadolu Selçuklu Devleti’ne bağlı Mengücek Beyliği döneminde inşa edilmiştir. Ulu Cami, Süleyman Şah’ın oğlu Ahmet Şah tarafından, darüşşifa ise eşi Melike Turan Melek tarafından yaptırılmıştır. 1228’de başlanıp 1243’te tamamlanan yapı kompleksinin baş mimarı Muğisoğlu Ahlatlı Hürrem Şah’tır.

Known as the Divriği Great Mosque and Hospital, this building is a complex consisting of a mosque, a hospital, and a tomb. It was built during the Mengücek Principality of the Anatolian Seljuk State. The Great Mosque was built by Ahmet Shah, the son of Süleyman Shah, and the hospital was built by his wife, Melike Turan Melek. The chief architect of the building complex, which was started in 1228 and completed in 1243, was Hürrem Şah from Mugısoğlu Ahlat.

Kırım Han’ı I. Sahip Giray tarafından inşa edilmiştir. Sarayda Han Türbeleri’nin yanı sıra Harem, Han Cami ve Göz Yaşı Çeşmesi gibi yapılar bulunur. Tarihte birçok kez tahrip edilen ve yakılan Han Cami geçtiğimiz yıllarda Türkiye Cumhuriyeti tarafından tamir ettirilerek ibadete açılmıştır.

The palace was constructed by the Crimean Khan, I. Owner Giray. Alongside the Han Tombs, the palace complex encompasses structures such as the Harem, the Han Mosque, and the Fountain of Tears. The Han Mosque has faced destruction and fire on multiple occasions throughout history but was recently restored and reopened for worship under the supervision of the Republic of Turkey.

27. ETHEM BEY CAMİ VE SAAT KULESİ

18 ila 19.yüzyıllarda Tiran’da inşa edilen 8 büyük camiden günümüze sağlam ulaşabilen tek camidir. Tiran Valisi Hacı Ethem Bey tarafından yapımına başlanmıştır. Ethem Bey bu sırada vefat ettiğinden caminin yapımını oğulları tamamlamıştır. Cami, 1990’a kadar müze olarak kullanılmış, daha sonra ibadete açılmıştır. Caminin içinde Ethem Bey’in ve eşinin mezarları bulunmaktadır. Saat Kulesi’ne cami tamamlandıktan sonra  yine Ethem Bey’in mali imkanları ile başlanmış ama halkın katkılarıyla tamamlanmıştır. 1928’de kadranı Latin rakamlı hale getirilmiştir.

 

ETHEM BEY MOSQUE and CLOCK TOWER

It is the only mosque that has survived from the eight great mosques built in Tirana in the 18th and 19th centuries. Its construction was started by the Tirana Governor Hacı Ethem Bey. Since Ethem Bey passed away during this time, his sons completed the construction of the mosque. The mosque was used as a museum until 1990, after which it was opened for worship. Inside the mosque, the graves of Ethem Bey and his wife can be found. After the mosque's completion, the Clock Tower was restarted with the financial support of Ethem Bey, but it was completed with contributions from the public. In 1928, the clock face was adorned with Latin numerals.

Nahçivan şehir merkezindedir. İldenizliler dönemine ait bir anıt mezardır. 1186’da İldenizliler Atabegliği’nin kurucusu Şemseddin İldeniz’in hanımı Mümine Hatun için oğlu Kızıl Arslan tarafından yaptırılmıştır. Mimarı Acemi Ebubekir Oğlu Nahçivani’dir. Orta Asya geleneklerini İslami bir anlayışla sentezleyen örnek bir yapıdır. Türbe duvarlarına Yasin Suresi’nden ayetler nakşedilmiştir.

 

MUMINE HANIM TOMB

Nakhchivan / AZERBAIJAN

It is located in the city center of Nakhchivan. It is a mausoleum belonging to the İldenizliler period. It was built in 1186 by Kızıl Arslan, the son of Şemseddin İldeniz, the founder of the İldenizliler Atabegliği, for his wife Mümine Hatun. The architect of the mausoleum is Nakhchivani, the son of Beginner Ebubekir. It is an exemplary structure that synthesizes Central Asian traditions with an Islamic understanding. Verses from Surah Yasin are engraved on the walls of the tomb.

29. SELİMİYE CAMİ

II.Selim’in emri ile  o sıralarda 79 yaşında olan Mimar Sinan tarafından 1569’da yapımına başlanmış, 1575’te tamamlanmıştır. Cami toplam olarak 28.500 metrekarelik bir alanı kaplamaktadır. Kubbe yaklaşık 2000 ton ağırlığındadır. Kilit taşının ağırlığı ise 5 tondur. Kilit taşının üzerinde 5 metre yüksekliğinde altın kaplama alem vardır. Minarelerinin boyları 85 metredir. Her biri üçer şerefeli bu dört minare İslam  aleminin en uzun ve en zarif minareleridir. Camiye bitişik olan iki minare de 3 ayrı şerefeye 3 ayrı yoldan çıkılır. Minarelerin gövdeleri ise sadece 3.80 metre çapındadır.

 

SELIMIYE MOSQUE

It was started to be built in 1569 by Mimar Sinan, who was 79 years old at that time, by the order of Selim II and was completed in 1575. The mosque covers a total area of 28,500 square meters. The dome weighs about 2,000 tons. The weight of the keystone is 5 tons. There is a 5-meter-high gold-plated realm on the keystone. The height of its minarets is 85 meters. These four minarets, each with three balconies, are the tallest and most elegant minarets in the Islamic world. The two minarets adjacent to the mosque can be reached from 3 separate balconies by 3 different ways. The bodies of the minarets are only 3.80 meters in diameter.

Mostar / BOSNA-HERSEK

Bosna-Hersek’in Mostar şehrinden geçen, Neretva Nehri üzerinde Mimar Sinan’ın öğrencisi Mimar Hayreddin tarafından 1566 yılında inşa edilmiştir. Mimar Hayreddin, köprü için 456 kalıp taş kullanmıştır. 1992’de Sırp ve Hırvatlar tarafından top atışlarıyla yıkılan Mostar Köprüsü, 2004’te Türkiye Cumhuriyeti tarafından aslına uygun olarak yeniden inşa ettirilmiştir.

 

MOSTAR BRIDGE

Mostar / Bosnia and Herzegovina

It was built in 1566 by Mimar Hayreddin, a student of Mimar Sinan, on the Neretva River, which runs through the city of Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Architect Hayreddin used 456 blocks of stone for the bridge. The Mostar Bridge, which was destroyed by artillery fire from Serb and Croat forces in 1992, was rebuilt by the Republic of Turkey in 2004, faithfully restoring it to its original form.

İsfahan şehrinin ortasından geçen Zayende Nehri üzerinde yer almaktadır. 1602 yılında inşa edilmiştir. Kendisini ayakta tutan 33 sütun üzerine inşa edildiğinden bu ismi almıştır. Yapan mimarın adına ithafen Allahverdi Han Köprüsü olarak da anılmaktadır. Köprünün uzunluğu 300 metre, genişliği ise 14 metredir.

 

33 EYE BRIDGE

İsfahan / İRAN

It is situated on the Zayanderud River, which flows through the city of Isfahan. The bridge was constructed in 1602 and derives its name from the 33 columns that support its structure. It is also referred to as Allahverdi Khan Bridge, in honor of the architect who oversaw its construction. The bridge spans a length of 300 meters and has a width of 14 meters.

Ahlat’a girişte, Meydanlık Kabristanı’nın güneyinde uzanan tarlaların ortasında, Van Gölü’ne oldukça yakın bir yerdedir. Türk sanat ve zevkinin göstergesi olan bu kümbet, Ahlat’takilerin en büyüğü olduğu için “Ulu Kümbet” olarak adlandırılmıştır. 13. yüzyılda yapıldığı tahmin edilmektedir.

 

AHLAT GREAT KUMBET

It is located at the entrance to Ahlat, in the middle of the fields extending to the south of Meydanlık Cemetery, very close to Lake Van. This dome, which is an indicator of Turkish art and taste, was named the "Great Kümbet" because it is the largest among those in Ahlat. It is estimated to have been built in the 13th century.
